Angolan Airlines again came through for us as we flew across the Atlantic to South America from Luanda to São Paulo. We will fly TAAG again any time. For São Paulo and Brazil, I have no kind words, so I will refrain from saying anything. Except perhaps this: expect nothing. That way you won’t be disappointed. On to Lima then.
In Lima checking in for the last leg to Cusco, the language barrier again became an irritation that no one with dry eyes felt like dealing with. So after the chaotic experience of checking in, we tried out Peru’s potato chips, beer and tinned wine at Lima’s airport. We were not impressed. But we were also tired, so very little could impress us right then.
Boarding the aircraft in Lima for the last leg to Cusco, was a relief. Lesley Myburgh was waiting for us when we got there, and it was great to see her South African smile on the seemingly unfriendly continent of South America. We were soon whisked off to her mountain house, Casa de la Gringa, where her friendly staff made us feel like family. Our rooms are lovely and the views beautiful.
Before bed, we had a wonderful meeting with Dr Ruben Orellana – and today, Day 2, is going to be magical due to this man who had crossed our path in a synchronistic way that I will explain in the sequel to The Puppet Master’s Secret. We are going to open the seventh gateway today, with the Andes mountains as our guide, adding what flows to us from the Amazon forest and the great river. We are here for a reason. And today is the day that we hope to bless our beloved planet during the last of the Earth Light Meditations. We are not sure of the time or the place, as we have to complete two processes before we open the gateway – our plans changed after speaking to Ruben. That’s why he had to connect with us, so that we could get it right.
More later … breakfast and then off to Saqsaywaman and Qoricancha …
